Lemon Rice (Chitranna)

Chitranna (lemon rice) is a Karnataka temple staple — distributed as prasad at many famous temples including Tirupati. The bright yellow rice is made by tempering cooked rice with mustard seeds, curry leaves, chana dal, turmeric and fresh lemon juice. Light, flavourful and satisfying.
