**Phoenix Mall of Asia** in Hebbal is one of Bangalore's largest shopping destinations — 13 acres of retail, cinema, and restaurants. The food court has everything from international chains to mall-price South Indian. What it does not have is a quiet, authentic, affordable **Brahmin cafe** serving freshly ground chutney and real filter coffee.
For that, local North Bangalore residents drive **4 km north on Bellary Road / Railway Parallel Road** to **Shastrys Cafe** in Kodigehalli.
Why Stop at Shastrys Before or After the Mall
**Price.** A masala dosa at Shastrys (₹70) costs roughly one-third of what a comparable dish costs inside the mall food court.
**Authenticity.** Our kitchen is a traditional Brahmin kitchen — no garlic, no onion in cooked dishes, pure ghee, chutneys ground fresh each morning.
**Quiet.** No mall noise. A small cafe with neighbourhood regulars.
**Hours.** 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the evening — comfortably aligned with either a pre-mall dinner (6 PM) or a post-shopping light meal (8 PM).

All tiffin is served with **coconut chutney only — no sambar** (Brahmin tradition).
