Ven Pongal (white pongal) is considered auspicious in Brahmin households and is offered as prasad in temples across South India. Made from rice and moong dal cooked together until creamy, then tempered with generous ghee, black pepper, cumin and cashews. Our pongal is rich, comforting and deeply satisfying.
